“Madhu”, popularly known as Honey, has been used in skin care for over 4000 years. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and has high amounts of antioxidants. It deeply cleanses pores, fighting excess sebum, acne, pimple, blackheads and whiteheads. The antioxidants and flavanoids adds a natural glow, restoring the skin’s hydration, fighting the signs of aging and protects the skin from environmental hazards.

“Chandan” popularly known as Sandalwood is known for anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-microbial effects. It has a cooling and calming effect on the skin which heals skin aggravation related to exposure from UV light that is known to cause abnormal pigmentation and skin aging. It is also known to deeply cleanse the skin and control excess sebum production. The nourishing properties of Sandalwood help with a brighter, clearer and a more radiant skin.

Moroccan Red Clay is known for its detoxification effects because of the presence of iron exchange in high quantity. It deeply exfoliates and cleanses dead skin, preventing pimples, blackheads, whiteheads etc, soaking up excess oil and sebum. It is also known for its soothing effects which greatly benefits inflamed skin. It is also very cooling and nourishing in nature that proves to be beneficial towards skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Activated Charcoal is known to absorb excess oil and sebum, making it a great exfoliating agent because it dissolves elements clogged in the pores, helping the skin get rid of dead cells, toxins and dirt. It improves texture and appearance, leaving the skin feel brightened and clean with a healthy glow.

Chickpea is an ancient ingredient that been used in the Indian skin care culture since ages. It has alkalizing properties which keep the pH level of the skin balanced. It is also very absorbent in nature, extracting the excess oil from the skin which helps fight pimples, blackheads, whiteheads etc. Chickpea powder is also known for its cleansing and moisturizing properties which help brighten skin, fading acne scars and prevent early signs of aging.

“Haridra”, commonly known as Turmeric, is known for its anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and anti-proliferative properties together with being highly rich in antioxidants. It prevents oxidative stress transforming dysfunctional cellular damage, regulating the sebum production. Turmeric boosts collagen production and also strengthens skin’s elasticity which in turn results in regeneration of new skin cells, eventually healing the skin from within, giving a natural glow.

Take half a tea-spoon of the powder, add the required amount of water/rose water (for cleansing) or green tea/buttermilk (for face pack) to make a paste-like consistency. Evenly apply the paste on your face and neck. Leave it on for 5 minutes, wash and pat dry.
